Note About the Final

Check the Final Exam Schedule set by the Enrollment Services for the date and the time of your Final. The Final exam is comprehensive and covers everything through 18.3, including 18.3. WileyPLUS assignments for 17.1-17.3 are posted and are due the last day of classes. Assignments 18.1-18.3 are posted but without a due date. Assignments 18.1-18.3 are not graded; they are posted to help you study for the Final.

We will be using WileyPLUS online homework system in this course. To sign up for the WileyPLUS system, you will need a WileyPLUS registration code.

If you buy a copy of our textbook at the URI Bookstore, a registration code for WileyPLUS will be included with the book at no additional cost.

If you buy a copy somewhere else and it does not include WileyPLUS code, you will need to purchase a WileyPLUS code separately. The cost of a registration code at the Wiley site: WileyPLUS is about $75.

If you buy only WlieyPLUS code, you will have access to an electronic version of the textbook.

If you have a registration code, you will be able to sign up for the WileyPLUS system by clicking on a link that will be provided on this page. The link will be posted about a week into the semester. Do not sign up for WileyPLUS until this link is provided as you may end up in the wrong section.

Exams and Evaluation

There will be two exams during the semester: Exam 1: Thu, March 10; Exam 2: Tue, Apr 26, in class. The final exam will be as scheduled by the Office of Enrollment Services for your section: Final Exam Schedule.

Your grade will be based upon a possible total of 650 points, as follows:

  • Two evening exams at 150 points each -- 300 points,
  • Final exam -- 200 points,
  • Quizzes and WileyPLUS Homework -- 150 points.
