PME Induction Ceremony 2025

Pi Mu Epsilon (PME) is a national mathematics honor society for college and university students. It was founded in 1914 and its primary goal is to promote scholarship and mathematical activity among students.

Rhode Island Alpha, is the 88th Pi Mu Epsilon Chapter established at the University of Rhode Island on April 26, 1962. This year’s inductees represent the classes of 2025 and 2026. Their selection was based upon their outstanding scholastic records and their exceptional performance in mathematics.

Our PME Induction Ceremony was held on Wednesday, April 23rd at 4:30pm in Lippitt Hall. The following students were inducted into PME as new members: Kirsten Quay, Jordan Saris-Baglama, Morgan Beck, Margot Paynter, Emily Upton, Jordan Medeiros, Abigail Orlando.
