Biography
Li Wu, Ph.D., an applied mathematics professor at the University of Rhode Island, has 20+ years of experience working in academic settings. She has published journal articles in the areas of numerical methods in solving partial differential equations, biomathematics, and mathematical education. She teaches calculus courses at all levels, introductory level of ODEs, PDEs and Optimization courses, as well as graduate-level numerical PDE and Optimization courses. She has developed multiple Just-in-Time remedy projects to prepare incoming freshmen for the challenges of taking college level math courses and to enhance learning for entry level math courses. She has won a college excellence award.
