Biography

His research interests encompass the invention of mathematical and statistical
foundations for Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Network Science. He is an
enthusiastic educator of the courses related to Machine Learning, Optimization, and Mathematical Statistics, for undergraduates and graduates. He has been a faculty member at the University of Rhode Island (URI) since 2023. He was an Assistant Professor of Mathematics from 2019 to 2023 in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi, TX, USA. He was a Postdoctoral Scholar in Data Science from 2016 to 2019 in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, MA, USA. He was a Lecturer from 2007 to 2011 in the Department of Science and Technology at Uva Wellassa University, Sri Lanka. Please see his website for more information.
