Regular attendance is expected.


MTH 142 or equivalent.


Multivariable Calculus, by McCallum,Hughes-Hallett, et.al., 6th Edition, with WileyPLUS.
Please bring this text with you to every class.


We will use WileyPLUS for online homework. You can signup by following these instructions.


You should check SAKAI regularly for announcements, schedule changes, downloading resources, grade updates, etc.

Other Resources

Student Solutions Manual contains solutions to selected odd-numbered problems. If the bookstore does not have it, look for it on-line. Also, solutions to selected problems can be accesses through WILEY!

Calculus, Schaum's Series.   Low-priced, with oodles of solved practise problems, used by generations of calculus students.

A no-cost resource is Calculus  by Gilbert Strang, available as a pdf file through the MIT Open Courseware project.

Another no-cost resource is Paul's Online Notes , that in addition to notes also contain many completely solved examples.


A graphing calculator, is highly recommended. Note though that on certain tests and quizzes calculator use will be limited.
