Placement Test Information

The URI Online Placement Test is a requirement for this course.  If you already took this exam prior to orientation you need not (in fact cannot) take it again.  Otherwise you should take this exam immediately using the link below.  NOTE:  You will not be placed in another class and your score will be used only for diagnostic and advising purposes in the course.  The two parts will take about an hour.  It is in your best interest to do an honest job with this.  If your score is low we might prescribe additional assignments to help assure your success in the course.  If your score is high and you subsequently make lots of errors in algebra and arithmetic, we will wonder how that happened.

IN ANY CASE,  completion of this test during the first week of classes is a course requirement and your classwork grade will be reduced for each day after the first week that this requirement has not been met.

NOTE!!! IF YOU DID NOT TAKE THE PLACEMENT TEST AT ORIENTATION IT MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE TO YOU UNTIL SEPT 6 AND YOU MUST BE REGISTERED IN MTH 111 TO TAKE IT.

You can get a report on your placement test performance through the link below.
