About the Course

MTH 452 is an introduction to the mathematical statistics using calculus. Mathematical statistics has a tremendous range of applications in all the sciences, including the social sciences, business and economics, and engineering. It uses a wide variety of mathematical techniques and concepts, especially elementary probability theory, linear algebra and calculus. The class is designed for an audience with  diverse interests such as  engineering, science, economics or business major. This course will fully prepare you for actuarial P exam. In addition, the study of Mathematical statistics  can be entertaining, enlightening and sometimes surprising. We will cover most of Chapter 6-9 of the textbook. There will be some additional material handed in the class.

Mathematica Notebooks developed by Professor Kulenovic will be available through SAKAI.

Sakai There will be practice problems and solved problems in Sakai site of the course.
