Section 1.3 - Vector Equations Section 1.4 - The Matrix Equations Ax=b
Vectors are introduced. Geometric description for vectors in R2 is given to help visualize the concepts of addition and scalar multiplication. Vector representation of linear systems is given, called vector equation. Introduce the concept of spans and linear combinations. Learn how to represent linear systems as a matrix equation Ax=b. Introduced to the concept of matrix vector product through the lense of linear system representation Ax = b by relating to the vector equation, linear combination in section 1.3.
