MTH438 (Advanced Calculus and Applications II)
Math 438 is an advanced course in calculus and its applications that satisfies the general education requirement for math at the University of Rhode Island. The prerequisite is MTH437. This course covers the differentiation of vector-valued functions, maxima and minima, double and triple integrals, integrals over paths and surfaces, the integral theorems (Green's theorem, Stokes' theorem, Gauss' theorem) of vector analysis and their applications. Fourier series and Fourier transform and their applications is a substansial part of the course.
