Note: For this particular worksheet you should solve your homework problems within this worksheet. Otherwise, you will have to re-enter many matrices, or do a lot of copying and pasting. Type your solutions in the subsection Homework Problems below each problem. Leave the latter subsection open, but make sure to close all other subsections before printing your homework. Recall that you close or open a subsection by clicking on the plus or minus in the square next to the subsection's title.

Linear Algebra with Maple
Maple has a very powerful linear algebra package that is capable of performing even very advanced tasks in this field. The linear algebra syntax of Maple is, at times, a little more complicated than the syntax of another software, Matlab, with which you are probably already familiar. Matlab, short for "Matrix Laboratory" , is specifically designed for solving problems in linear algebra and has very simple and intuitive syntax. However, unlike Maple, Matlab is not a computer algebra system and cannot handle problems with parameters and symbolic entries.
Note: In this worksheet we have not executed commands for you. YOU MUST EXECUTE ALL COMMANDS IN EACH OF THE SECTIONS BELOW, IN THE ORDER THEY APPEAR, OTHERWISE SUBSEQUENT COMMANDS WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY!
