EXERCISES AND PROBLEMS FROM TEXTBOOK, BY SECTION

The following exercises and problems are given to all sections.  All students are responsible for all of these problems.  Only turn in the problems that your instructor specifically asks you to hand in.  Work will be assigned by your instructor which may include problems in addition to the ones listed below.  The homework/quiz portion of your grade will be based on specific assignments given to you by your instructor.  For more information about homework, see the section on tips for success.   The starred problems are generally harder and may require more time and explanation.
