Exploring Calculus for Windows is a collection of calculus programs including a grapher and precalculus and calculus based games and quizzes. These programs run only on Windows 95 and above. If you have Windows 2000 (for example, if you are in a URI campus lab) you can run these programs after downloading them without anything further. This is also the case if you have Visual Basic on your system (automatic if you are in a URI lab). Otherwise you will have to download an additional file msvbvm60.dll.

Proceed as follows:

1. Create a new folder on your desktop, and give it a name, like "ec".
2. Download the programs you want by clicking on the appropriate links. In each case you will be asked by Windows whether you want to "open in place" or "save to disk". If you are in a campus lab, and don't want the help system for the Grapher program, you can just open in place. Otherwise, save everything to the folder "ec" that you created. If you click on the helpfile link you will get text on the screen. Just save it as a .txt file to your ec folder.
